A Short One to Cap off the Year

A Short One to Cap off the Year

Alright folks, it’s the last day of 2021 and we three wish all of you the very best in 2022!!!

Today’s post will serve as a terse newsletter of sorts for what’s coming up next month blog wise and who’s up next week on the TGTYNH...

TGTYNH returns this Tuesday as Ben & John engage in an in-depth comprehensive discussion on Codeine’s 1990 debut release, Frigid Stars. It’s the first episode of 2022, so be sure to start off your new year right and tune in next week! For now, wet your beak with Codeine’s 2012 reunion performance of Cigarette Machine linked below!

As for the blog, I’m excited to announce that through the month of January I will be taking you on a journey through some of the greatest musical movies you’ve never seen! (See what I did there...) This isn’t some cinematic adventure on musicals, nor is it a rediscovery of obscure rockumentaries, but rather an exhaustive look at some inspiring flicks that focus either wholly or in-part on a band, musician or music scene of the past. Think more Bohemian Rapsody than La La Land...... But more on that next week.

What We’ve been Listening to Lately...

What had been a key feature on our now defunct next time on segments was our picks for albums we were listening to that week. These recommendations will now serve as the closing for each blog post moving forward with the first batch delineated below.

Ben’s been listening to Family’s 2016 album Future History and FaceDownInShit’s 2006 album Nothing Positive, Only Negative.

John’s been enjoying two great releases from 2021 with Here Lies Man’s, Ritual Divination and The Ugly King’s, Strange Times.

As for myself, my eardrums are being tickled by Femme Fatale’s 2004 release, From the Abundance of the Heart the Mouth Speaks.

Until next time, have a great one eh!
